Haha, yeah. I've spent more nights alone with him than not. W was born last April. DH was gone for 5 days in June for school for his job, he was gone the entire month of July for a work up on the boat, then he was gone from the end of August to the end of April on deployment.

Several times. The first was when she was six weeks. I actually thought it was easier, since I just brought her into bed with me for side-lying nursing and snoozing. Now it doesn't make too much of a difference, but I do obviously prefer if he's there!

All the time. DH works weekends and sometimes I'll go to my parents' beach house with DS. I guess technically my parents are there but they don't help with him overnight.

All the time! Even when she was a newborn and dh went back to work everything was on me. But now, dh works at night, so this little 8/9 month thing we've got going on here is all mine on those days.

Things have been rocky between me and my DH, so I've stayed in a hotel many times alone with LO. I take care of her at night anyway, so it's never been a big deal. Well, actually, when she was little (2 mo) it was challenging because she would cry and not want to sleep, an I'd worry about waking people up!

Yes. Starting from around 4 weeks, DH has had several business trips that have required that he be gone for at least 2 days, and as many as 5. It's not easy . . . even though I am pretty much solo for bedtime and night wakeups (and have been since the beginning), it still helps to know that he's *there*. There's just something so calming about his presence to me.

Not literally alone, but my husband was very sick for a few days right after we brought her home (literally the night she came home too) - so he didn't help for a while. My mom was staying with us though and she helped out after the first night.

Yep. DH was deployed for the first 4 months of DS's life but I lived with family then. I did almost everything myself but it was still nice to have the peace of mind that someone was there. He often has overnight trainings or 24-hour duty where I have the baby alone. The longest I've gone completely by myself was 2 weeks. For me, it doesn't get any easier. I think a big part of that has to do with living away from family and friends.

Yep! A few times when DH is traveling. It was rough when LO was little and... not sleepy but now it's actually a little peaceful to have a silent house after 6 PM! I do miss him though, of course :) Two nights this week, hoping he gets home before LO's bedtime tomorrow!
