I lived in the Bay Area for a while, but don't know California very well at all.</p> <p>I talked again to the guy today and explained to him that over 60% of people in our poll hadn't heard of Humboldt County. He couldn't believe it! Among the people he knows, 100% of people are aware of Humboldt County. He said his friends are in the counterculture, which helps make sense of why he was so surprised.
