They were yummy, but definitely not as perfect as the professionals'. Getting the texture exactly right is tricky, I think it took me about 3 tries for it to be close enough to bake properly. Made it at home myself a few months later... They didn't turn out as perfectly, but were still yummy. They are definitely delicate pastries and when they come out as they should, you know they are made with lots of care, attention to detail, and experience. I love the challenge of making them... But I haven't made more attempts since having #2. I think macarons are the next cupcake and there isn't a good place to get them in my city (yet). But all I ever hear is that they're incredibly difficult to make! Have you ever tried to make one? </p>
