I didn't research it that hard, tbh, but what I saw was that it wouldn't really help us much for the only reason we would cancel. Your friend would need to check carefully on any exclusions like that. Also, that's really impressive that she feels she can fly cross country with a child and an infant! It was $50 and it covered a full refund if I needed to cancel for any reason. They were reimbursed for the entire amount of the trip (airfare, hotels, etc.). It was totally worth it for them.
