DH just taught our baby to make this ridiculous noise smacking her lips together. It was cute for a day, but now she does it *all the time*. It's getting kind of annoying honestly, so I kind of wish she had never learned to do it. Oh well.

@MrsHotDog: That's so cute! But I understand the frustration. Out of curiosity, what age did she start signing? Our daughter is almost 7 months now, and I really feel like I have to get back on top of the baby sign lessons.

Yep. We told him our cat went to heaven but then he started asking crazy questions that I didn't have answers too...I probably should have held off for a year or so!

We had a small basketball hoop and DH was teaching LO to throw the ball in. Well soon enough he started throwing everything all over the place! It took about 3 days after we took the hoop away to get back to normal.

@MrsHotDog: We have this same issue with "all done"! But it's still better than throwing food on the floor...

Sometimes....I taught my daughter how to sign "all done" which has helped with her throwing food on the ground. But, she expects to be released from her high chair the very second she signs it. Even if she only had one bite of dinner. She also tells me when she is all done in the car seat, changing her diaper, in her stroller, being carried and so on. So sometimes we have battles about when she is actually all done.

I asked my son Charlie to lie on top of me a few months ago... so he did, happily. It was something fun we would do; before I put him down, I would ask him lie on top of me and then I would hug him tight. Then I'd roll him onto the bed and put him down to sleep. It was our special little thing.

Well Charlie thought it was his special little thing too, and started trying to lie on top of his sister, Olive. She's not yet a size where he can lie on top of her without crushing her!

Boy did I learn my lesson! Never teach your kid to do something that you don't want them doing to their sibling (or to other kids!). I stopped doing it and shortly after, he stopped doing it too.
