Over time a few of the front runners were pushed aside Poppy &amp; Gemma for a much more unusual name my husband chose (it's a family name). But I refused to call her the selected name until I had met her. I was pretty sure but could not name her until I saw her sweet face. No offense to anyone but it always boggled my mind that people would buy monogrammed items and decorate a nursery with a large proclamation of said future infants name. What if you met them it it was not their name.</p> <p>Anyways, I just asked M this week if he had any regrets and he said no, neither do I. She's 12 weeks. I think her name suits her perfectly but I hope she doesn't hate us down the road when she has to constantly correct people.</p> <p>As for the article, I guess I see where the parents are coming from -- it was a bit of a hassle but small when you consider he'll (probably) have this name the rest of his life. I think my state allows parents to amend the baby's birth certificate for up to a year so you don't have to go through so much red tape if you decide after a few weeks the name doesn't fit. Also, I personally can't imagine naming my kids Olive and Lev...the second sounds kind of like a nickname for the first.
