Even better than my original holy grail Shiseido mascara. It's called Falsies Volum Express by Maybelline. You MUST try it!!! It holds the curl like no other and thickens/volumizes. It was usually sketchy though because the same people did it over and over. I hate when things get discontinued and then you have to go searching for your next staple cosmetic item. I was so SO mad when they discontinued my Shiseido Lasting Lift mascara. I swear that sucker would hold a curl like no other! It was a little hard to remove without using some super strong eye makeup remover but it was worth it! I'm gonna try the Covergirl LashExact Waterproof (from @joyjoy) and also will pick up the waterproof Maybelline Lash Stilleto. I could write a BOOK. I absolutely refuse to curl lashes after mascara so I've probably tried every drugstore version out there. I started with L'oreal Le Grand Curl-- discontinued. Then Maybelline Sky High Curves-- discontinued. UGH! I'm now using Maybelline Lash Stiletto Voluputous in WATERPROOF. One of the biggest keys is to always use WATERPROOF. There's something about the formula that dries quicker, keeping the curl intact. BUT. I've tried EVERY Revlon waterproof mascara and every single one of them flattens the curl. I've tried several Cover Girl mascaras as well and have had zero luck there too.... so sticking with my Maybelline Lash Stiletto Voluptuous for now. I tried Benefit's They're Real from Sephora and immediately returned it.
