I have luckily never been pulled over. Sometimes, when I know I am speeding and see a cop, I panic and I start thinking of excuses in case they decide to pull me over. Hasn't happened yet though.

Oh you are so lucky!!!

I was speeding big time one time over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and got pulled over. I told the cop I had to go...you know....goooooo. So, instead of letting me go (hehe), he had me follow him to the nearest restroom and STOOD OUTSIDE THE BATHROOM waiting for me to finish. OMG. I didn't really have to go, but I sat in there for a good 10 minutes. I still got a big ticket.

You're so lucky! I got pulled over one night on my way home from work. It was my 3rd 12 for the week, I was 36 weeks pregnant and had been having irregular contractions all night, and on top of that I had a horrible cold and just wanted to go home and go to sleep. And he STILL gave me a ticket! Ugh! I totally thought about telling him that I was having contractions and was in a hurry to get home and meet my husband to go to the hospital, but I was afraid of bad karma so I chickened out.

So today, I'm driving a different way to work than I normally do, and I drove over this bridge where there is a ton of construction, and as SOON as I come over the top of the bridge I see a police car and I knew I would get pulled over! I wasn't speeding for the normal limit, but since it was construction--even though no workers were present he pulled me over.

I'm definitely not a chronic speeder at all, and I haven't been pulled over in probably 4 years or more. I gave the officer my license and registration and ask soon as he asked me to sign, I was like, "Wait, am I signing for a ticket?" I totally pulled the "I'm having a baby in a month, please have grace and mercy on me, we are so broke card!" AND I GOT LET GO!! I literally couldn't believe it. I wasn't even crying or anything, just being totally honest with him!! Seriously y'all, this ticket would have been so expensive too! I felt so low for using an excuse, but definitely I'll be paying more attention in the future!
