Honestly I don't remember any of the details because it was 12 years ago and we are Jewish. We had a huge rental property that fit all 18 of us at like a dirt cheap price bc we checked in on Christmas. I'm the oldest "cousin" so my husband and 1 yr old daughter came too. </p> <p>All the dads went golfing, moms went to spa and shopping, and the cousins (mostly college or just out of college) went to universal to see Harry Potter land. We left Christmas Eve. Got there Christmas Day - went to Notre Dame, had an amazing dinner in a nearby restaurant and just wandered the streets. It was great :) We then spend NYE in Madrid. We stayed in the Fairmont, which is a castle, they did a candlelit carol concert with a hot chocolate bar on Xmas eve, and filled stockings to leave on the guests' doors. We did a horse drawn carriage ride then went tubing in the snow on Christmas Day. Boxing Day we went skiing then floated in the heated outdoor pool then went husky sledding the next day. It's our present ourselves and it's amazing. We're skipping this year because now that LO is over 2 it's crazy expensive with how high airfare has gotten ($900 a ticket). That's the only downside is that it's such an expensive time of year to travel. But being on the beach, Christmas Day with none of the holiday drama is fantastic.
