We had ours professional washed by a company called Clean Bee Baby. They clean/sterilize car seats and strollers for a fee. They use eco-friendly products too. It's pretty awesome because I'm too lazy to clean and sterilize. I bought a coupon off one of those baby sites and it was only $15 for a full sterilization package.

I haven't. We washed the infant seat because I loaned it to a friend.

I have washed a Britax marathon in pretty much the same. The assembly/disassembly was a little different so maybe take a bunch of pictures if you aren't sure about that part. The biggest difference though is that I don't think you can just hose it down because of the foam that will be exposed, you will need to just wipe it down with a damp cloth. Also, remember that the straps are not supposed to get wet at all or you risk them stretching out. You can order new ones if need be. Good luck!

There was a blog post on how to wash an infant seat:

http://www.hellobee.com/2012/05/03/how-to-wash-an-infant-car-seat/

Is it the same for a convertible car seat?
