I *love* seeing movies by myself. It's so incredibly relaxing to sit in a dark theater by myself and have no concerns other than just enjoying myself. It doesn't happen very often but perhaps that's part of what makes it so great. I spent two years living in Ottawa and didn't really befriend anybody outside of work, so I spent a lot of weekend time alone - I was perfectly happy seeing movies by myself. Just a few weeks ago my husband wanted to see something that I had no interest in so he went to see it by himself - it was his first alone movie and he said it was a little weird. For movies that only one of us wants to see it's awesome because we don't have to deal with getting a babysitter, it's cheaper, and the other person doesn't have to sit through a movie they wouldn't like!
