During labor I decided I would never go without pain meds again and I was crazy for doing it this time. After delivery I told DH he better believe we weren't doing that again for A WHILE! Then just a few days later its like all those feelings disappeared. I would do a pain med free labor again tomorrow. The part I'm not looking forward to is pregnancy believe it or not. I distinctly remember every detail (9.5 months later) of trying to keep her calm and crying when she wouldnt stop crying and the SCREAMING. I dont think Ill ever forget it. Its not as raw as it was a few months ago, but Ill never forget how bad it was and how desparate I felt. Im terrified my next child will have colic too.
