I haven't forgotten. I was ready for #2 the day I delivered though! :) Seriously, holding my LO in my arms was worth the 9 months of pregnancy + labor.

I haven't forgotten, but in a weird way, I was so proud of how I handled the pain that it doesn't bother me. I was immediately looking forward to doing it again someday, and still am. (Doing the pregnancy part again is the part I'm dreading.)

Me: "I hate going to the dentist. I would rather give birth again than go to the dentist."
DH: "You are wrong."

I totally remember the misery of pregnancy but have 100% forgotten the pain of labor and delivery.

I've already forgotten and DD is 3 weeks tomorrow. During labor I decided I would never go without pain meds again and I was crazy for doing it this time. After delivery I told DH he better believe we weren't doing that again for A WHILE! Then just a few days later its like all those feelings disappeared. I would do a pain med free labor again tomorrow. The part I'm not looking forward to is pregnancy believe it or not. My hip and back pain was rough starting at about 22 weeks.

I will never forget my labor in the hospital. I also don't think I'll forget how tough the first couple of months were taking care of a newborn. I think both factors stop me from thinking about trying for baby #2. I don't think I'm ready to go through it all over again. :(

I had an easy birth with DD and DS, so I forgot almost immediately; I think I was like a week postpartum from DD when I told my husband I was ready to do it again, lol!

I had a super easy c-section with no labor, so nothing to remember there. but as for hardships...Liv was a colicky baby too. I distinctly remember every detail (9.5 months later) of trying to keep her calm and crying when she wouldnt stop crying and the SCREAMING. I dont think Ill ever forget it. Its not as raw as it was a few months ago, but Ill never forget how bad it was and how desparate I felt. Im terrified my next child will have colic too. It gives me anxiety to even think about.

Nope. I remember the pain of contractions, of pushing, etc. And I remember LO's reflux days when she'd cry for hours and I didn't know what to do with myself or her.

I've totally forgotten at 9 months, I had a fairly easy labor (maybe because I was induced?) and I was very fortunate with an easy and speedy recovery.

I'm only 5 weeks pp, and I've already started to forget. I remember during labor thinking "How do people do this more than once?! Never. Again." But now, I WANT to do it again a couple years down the road. Strange.

LO is 5 1/2 weeks old and I'm already starting to forget things. I had a very traumatic birth experience and so I'm happy that it's getting fuzzy. I haven't forgotten what happened but I have started to forget how painful it was, etc.

I forgot about labor almost immediately. It really wasn't that bad. I think it will take me longer to forget about how hard it was to be a new mom with no help, though!

When I was in labour and the weeks after giving birth that I was in pain, I promised myself that I would NEVER forget what it felt like. But now, at 9 months post-partum, I'm starting to forget already! But I don't want to! Remembering the pain and hardships in the beginning helps to remind me of how far I've come! LO is sooooooo fun and smiley and active and so opposite of her former colicky self!

Have you forgotten the pain/hardships?
