I eat better because she takes my food and I don't want her eating trash. I behave better because she sees what I say and do. And I guilt my parents to behave better too. They used to refuse to wear helmets skiing but I said the whole, "what if something happens to you. Don't you want to be around for your grandchildren? !" I feel the exact same way, but about my kids... they make me want to be a better person.</p> <p>I used to take risks constantly (not sure why). Now I am really careful b/c I don't want to die and leave the kids without a dad. I also take much better care of my health now too. I am not sure why I didn't do this for my own sake? But I have an overpowering desire to be a better person: to swear less, to make more of a difference in the world, even to dress less bummy ha. Basically I want to set a better example for the kids, so I've found myself making choices that I've always wanted to make... but never had the energy to follow through on.</p> <p>Have you found yourself wanting to be a better person since having kids? </p>
