I voted that I got the flu shot and haven't gotten the flu.</p> <p>I actually got the flu back in October but that was the day before I was scheduled to get the flu shot. </p> <p>I ended up getting the flu shot a few weeks later and since then I haven't gotten the flu. This was the first time I had the flu in a long time. Yesterday I woke up with bad body aches, chills and a headache. I was queasy and had aversions to pretty much all food. Also other stomach problems. By the time DH got home from work anything cold touching me hurt, and I shivered in a hot bath. I couldn't warm up, even though my skin was hot to the touch...I curled up in bed in sweats, DH's sleeping bag, my comforter and another blanket, and I was still shaking. And then I suddenly got so hot that I felt like there were embers under my skin radiating heat...anything on my skin felt like too much. </p> <p>DH put the baby monitor on his side of the bed and got up with DS last night (well he changed him and them brought him into me to feed--positioned him and everything) and took off work today so that I could rest in peace without worrying about LO. He just brought him into me to nurse. </p> <p>I finally crawled out of bed at like 1:30 this afternoon and I'm still feeling really crappy, but not like I want to crawl into a hole and die anymore (obviously, since I'm online, lol). </p> <p>Did you get the flu or something similar this year? Did you get a flu shot? </p>
