It is not that hard to watch where you are swinging luggage, especially when you know there is a little one around. My only really grrrrrrrrr mama-bear!!! moment so far has been one day this summer when I picked LO up from daycare and she was out on the toddler playground and there were preschoolers there too. LO was rolling a ball around and crawling after it, and as I walked up, 2 preschool boys ran up and took the from her, and she reached out for the ball and started to cry. :/ I was about to rip their heads off, then remembered they were only like 3 years old and kept myself in check (although I was FUMING inside), so I didn’t say anything to them. I did however “chit-chat” with the two subs who were suppose to be the playground monitors. There were other balls on the playground, they didn’t have to take LO’s. I feel like it should be a rule that you can't grab your stuff til they call your aisle number! Most of mama bear moments have been with MIL. Because she's dumb. I have to sit in the back of the plane now because I can't handle all the crazies. My cousin was nursing her daughter while the plane was landing. She was still nursing when we pulled up to the gate, in an aisle seat, and the person behind her had to pull her suitcase down *right away* and bonked her 4 month old daughter on the head with the wheel of the suitcase. At the end of the flight, i handed our 16 month old to my husband and got up to get the Ergo and our bags. When I turned back around, I saw the passenger in the aisle seat behind us handing a roller bag to the woman in the window seat in front of us. It was like slow motion. The guy pushes the suitcase forward (because the woman in the window seat was a. going to have somewhere to put it and b. needed it NOW) and it smacked M in the head with the wheels of the bag. I.. Saw. Red. We had just spent the last hour and a half with a toddler who kept switching between crying and smiling (85% of that was crying and flailing and flopping...). I looked at the woman in the window seat and said, "Maybe, JUST MAYBE, you could WAIT FIVE SECONDS and pick up your bag in the aisle so it's not smacking small children in the head! It won't even fit in your seat with you, what are you going to do with it!?" I was so mad. My husband talked to the bag pusher who said sorry and he "didn't realize she was still there..." I just got my baby and got off that flight as quickly as possible. I stood in the jet bridge fuming for a few minutes while I waited for my husband and our stroller and the woman sitting next to the woman in the window passed by. She said to me, "Good for you, I would have been SO MAD if that happened to my child!!" Gah. It's almost a week later and I'm still upset about it!!
