I love being mentored... I have an official mentor who is an older faculty member at my college. I was assigned to her through an official program. My major only had one co-op others like my hubs had 3. I worked for a great company and my boss went through the same path - Started as a co-op, hired at graduation, worked her way up to manager. She taught me soooo much and i was so sad when she moved back to her home state of NH. He was my team lead a few years back and we really hit it off, having similar interests outside of work. He's also a very smart guy and really knows his stuff, so I would often come to him for questions about work-related stuff. He helped me get back on the right track when I was having some personal problems and not dealing well with them. It was showing in my professional life and he helped me turn things around.
