Hmmm. Normally if I was unhappy with color I would not have it corrected with the same person - my logic being I would rather be out the money than have the same person screw up twice and end up with doubly bad color :silly: . But in this case, it sounds like you like what she did, but want more of it? That's hard because the placement of highlights is so subjective - I know my colorist tends to concentrate color around the face, but she also tells me that's what she's doing and why. Absent a obvious demarcation in color, I'm not sure it was a mistake as much as a miscommunication.

@Alba4: I've gone back to a salon for an obviously horrible hair cut and had no problem asking them to fix it. As for the color, if it is something that looks horrible, then I would go back to get it fixed without hesitation. But if its just something that you want more of, then I might wait until next time and explain. Or else if I did go back to explain I want more, then I might expect to pay additional. My current hair dye girl doesn't highlight as far down as I would like and I've never said anything for the 10 years I've been going to her so maybe I'm not the best person to give advice on this!! :silly: But I don't think you are over reacting at all. I get very nervous about my hair!!! :silly:

I got my hair highlighted for the first time in 3 years today. I went to a new colorist for me and it came out pretty. It was expensive too, but I am willing to pamper myself and splurge on my hair.

The issue? I feel like major parts of my hair is missing highlighting. I got half a head of highlights, but she focused around my face. Past the very front along my part wasn't touched and I feel like it should have been.

I'm debating calling the salon and asking the colorist to finish the highlighting job... But I've never done this. I've never complained about my hair or asked a stylist to fix it. Have you? Am I over reacting?
