The abdominal surgeries were really hard recovery-wise. It hurt to move or laugh for weeks. I've also had a lot of scar pain from it during this pregnancy as my belly grows and the scar stretches. When I was 6, I went through a ton of tests to figure out why I was chronically constipated. At first they thought it was crohn's, but it wasn't. I had something really rare that didn't even have a name (in 1995). Over the course of a year, I had a ton of procedures done and I had 3 surgeries. I don't remember much about the first one, but it didn't work. So then I had to have a foot of my colon removed (it was stretched to the size of an adults) and I had a colostomy bag. It was pretty much the last resort and only had a 50/50 chance of working. Thankfully, it did! The recovery was over 3 months and I had already dealt with a 3 month recovery from the fracture which happened 6 months before surgery. I'm still left with a plate and 5 screws and a foot that's structurally completely different from the first. Its supposed to help my migraines. </p> <p>The d&amp;cs were pretty easy. Physically at least, not emotionally. This one is not easy, its painful!</p> <p>Have you had surgery?
