@charlotte: OMG, thanks for reminding me about prime video! I didn't even think about that and wanted to catch up on Parenthood! Thanks.

As for Amazon, only once we had a problem with a TV stand we bought, and we had to contact the manufacture because it was a part made wrong. That company was slow to help but did end up sending the replacement part. They have been good overall though!

A year ago they sent me a cracked dish and overnighted a replacement / didn't make me hassle with returning the other. I was very impressed! More recently I have had weird issues that they have not been helpful with....like promo items for my camera not coming and people ordering off of my registry for other people / themselves??? Like, having items marked off on the registry but they never come to me and I don't recognize the purchaser name!! The customer service reps seem not as great as they used to be, from my experience.

Loved watching parenthood seasons 1-3 for free via prime video though!!

Are you purchasing from Amazon or a marketplace seller? I find that if its "sold by Amazon" it's a little higher in price but they've never sent me the wrong thing.

That stinks that you've been having so many issues with them. I've had very minor problems - I ordered a golf club for DH and they sent me the wrong one. They refunded me immediately, and the only inconvenience was going to the post office to mail it back. I use Amazon Prime constantly, so my good experiences definitely outweigh my bad experiences.

I have more issues with our UPS delivery people, as they always sit stuff on the uncovered portion of our porch when it's raining! Probably because they hate coming to my house 2-3 times a week!

@katiew92081: I ordered a movie once for a friend for Christmas but didn't realize until a few days before I was to give it to her that it never came. They overnighted it to me without any hassle. It was pretty amazing.

@katiew92081: Amazon prime still uses diff sellers, it's always been amazon prime when I've had sellers contacting me. But that's another thing that annoys me, we don't pay full price for amazon prime but we still pay money, which I assume is supposed to go towards shipping costs. However, I've noticed it's starting to be about even with the increased $$ they charge for amazon prime eligible products, I could get the same non-prime product with shipping, I guess the 2 day shipping is good though but even that has gotten to be a ton of exceptions.

@mrskc: Yeah, we ordered a dvd on a Thursday and got it on the next Tuesday. It even said "order in the next 8 minutes to get it tomorrow!" And I did, but apparently 8 minutes is only 2 minutes on Amazon.

I've never had a problem with them sending the wrong thing. But a while ago I was really annoyed b/c things I ordered with prime took much longer than 2 days to get to me. I don't like how there are knock offs out there too. I read thru reviews before ordering to try and avoid that.

the only issue i've ever had was when i moved and Amazon accidentally sent me a shipping confirmation to my old address. i immediately contacted the shipper, they changed the address and i received the product the next day to the correct address! i was very impressed with how well they dealt with it! i've never had the wrong thing sent before though...sorry that happened to you twice!

@T.H.O.U.: I have seen them fix my issue (with the cat tree, actually) and then a few minutes later, I see the listing totally different than when I first ordered from it. I wonder how often they switch it before the customer realizes they didn't get what was on there?

@Maysprout: I only order Amazon Prime eligible things, so I don't have the different crazy sellers to deal with as much, except when ordering books (sometimes it's still cheaper to buy a used one and pay shipping than get a new one with free shipping.) It does seem scammy for them to solicit better reviews and ratings...I haven't encountered that, but I've only really been into Amazon a month or so, since getting prime. Before then, I wasn't as into it.

@Smurfette: I agree, it seems like less is covered and if it is covered, you can find an item for a couple bucks less without free shipping.

But I do love using my Amazon Prime Video app on the ipad!

I've only had one or two instances. One time I ordered a net laundry bag and I swear it said it was a pack of 3 but only 1 came. I could have been mistaken though. Another time I ordered a HDMI cable on a super cheap deal and it never came.

I've been a little annoyed with amazon lately. I used to really like reading their reviews but I don't trust them at all anymore. I've had issues with products breaking/not being what they advertised, and yes it always gets fixed, but it's annoying to deal with and I feel like sellers must be banking on people not dealing with it. I've also been contacted by companies to give reviews/improve my rating so they'll fix my problem faster/give free stuff, it seems very scammy to me lately.

My mom gifted me Amazon Prime, and I'm a little addicted...I've been ordering online a lot, just cause it's so convenient! Most things I get turn out fine, but I had a couple incidents, within a couple weeks from each other.

A few weeks ago, I ordered a cat tree. I picked one specifically for my white cat in mind, cause it had a cool hammock that I knew he'd love. It arrived 2 days later, DH, DS and I all worked together to get it up and then I realized...it's not the one I ordered! It's nice, and actually bigger than the original one, but it didn't have the hammock feature I wanted. So, I contacted their customer service, and they offered to replace it, if I sent it back, but I had it all together...what a pain, that would be, and to lug it to a place I could return it? No way. So, they were cool and gave me a 20% refund on it, cause I chose to keep it.

Then, a couple days ago, upon advice from ladies on here, I ordered the No More Milk Tea. it arrived today, and while the ziploc bag it was in said No More Milk on the barcode, the actual boxes was Milkmaid tea. This time I opted for replacing it, but I was worried I'd have to wait to send it before I got my replacement, but luckily, that wasn't the case. It was easy to print off the return stuff, and DH can take it to work to return, cause UPS goes there every day to pick up.

So, Amazon was cool about fixing it both times, but its still kind of a pain. Have you had issues like these?
