It was sensitive, but it's because they take your teeth up several shades in one sitting. And you do have to be careful of staining foods and drinks for the next couple of days because the pores of your teeth are more exposed. I also did trays with gel after it for a bit. My friend stuck it out, and her teeth got pretty white. They started fading after a week though. I don't know if there are other/better methods now or what. I don't notice much sensitivity to either, but I also keep Sensodyne around in case I start to feel any. My husband did the in-office UV whitening and was realllly sensitive for a while afterwards. And his teeth seemed to stain almost immediately afterwards. He was pretty meh about it, especially since it was not cheap.
