I have heard of Mat Man because I am using the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum with my 7 yr old to get her prepared for cursive. But I only just started with her recently so we never did anything with Mat Man.

LO is working on this activity called Mat Man, it's part of the handwriting without tears curriculum I believe. You use different shapes to create a person and it has a song that goes with it. Since most kids skip body parts I think it's a great way to teach them to include everything and for them to learn where the parts go. Here is a picture of what Mat Man is. The one she used was wood pieces, rulers, paper hands etc so it was made with objects.
