I have left him in the car, locked, him sleeping, to pick up a parcel on a couple occasions. It takes about 1 minute. I was watching the news last night and they were talking about the current heat wave in CA and how a lot of business now have signs at their establishments reminding parents not to leave their kids unattended in cars. They said 25 babies have already died from overheating in cars. At the grocery store, when I was still really weak from my c-section, I'd park by the cart area, leave the car on (with a/c), and run to get the cart. It started raining, she was sleeping and I was just stopping at the gas station to grab a drink. So I parked in front of the door of the gas station (where you aren't allowed) and left her in the car. </p>
