Aside from the US I've lived in Honduras, Bolivia and Ecuador. I would move back to South America in a heartbeat, and our long-range plans have us moving back there someday (husband is Ecuadorian). Every once and a while I cruise job listings to see what would be available :silly: We're thinking 5-10 years from now!

Small island in the Caribbean and the U.S. I wouldn’t mind living outside of the U.S. at this point. If DH really wanted to, I think he could maybe find work in his field in Asia (most likely Hong Kong). He doesn’t want to be an expat though.

I grew up in the US but have lived in Japan and Hong Kong most of my adult life. I don't think I'd want to live either of those places forever; there are too many clean air/safe food source worries for me in Hong Kong and my kids would always be outsiders in Japan, but I do hope we can go back to one or both places to live temporarily when my kids are older so that they actually remember the places they were born/spent their first few years.

I was born in the Philippines, raised in the US, lived in South Korea for a year and now living in Sweden. We intend to stay in Sweden - it's very family friendly. However, if we hypothetically didn't have a child, we would be living in the US or traveling around Asia.

I'm from the US but have spent most of the last ten years living in the UK and Australia. We just moved back to the UK from Australia and are now here on a permanent basis.

I am so happy to be back in the UK, even though Australia was great as well. The British lifestyle suits us perfectly - especially the history, culture, and travel opportunities. My family is the US and whilst I do miss them, we have absolutely no desire to ever live in the US again, mainly due to social issues. DH is British/Australian and most of his family lives near us, and my family comes to visit quite a bit, so we've got the best of both worlds. We love England

Canada til I was 25 and Australia since then (9 or so years). Relocated and I haven't looked back! Its been hard without family but there is just so much to love about Sydney - i love travelling back home but I don't know how I'd go living there now.

US, Guantanamo, and now Switzerland. I'd like to live anywhere warm. Switzerland is hard for outsiders, and the weather is a huge minus for me. (I wouldn't even move back to NJ or NoVa at this point.)

The U.S., France for about 5 years and now I've been in Austria for 2.5 years. We are staying in Europe for sure and I would pick France if the decision were all mine. I would pick France because my children and husband are French (I will take the French nationality probably in another year or two), I speak the language, I feel at home there and there is just something sbout the French culture and way of life that suits me better than elsewhere.

I've lived in both Canada and the US - just over 2 yrs in NY. We're just as close geographically to family now here as we were there. There were so many things I loved about living in the US, but could never live there permanently. The lack of affordable healthcare (even with insurance) and the prevalence of gun violence have me happy to be living in Canada again. I have to admit, though, that I miss Amazon.com. Amazon.ca just does not have the same selection, although Prime has gotten so much better!

I've lived in the USA and Vietnam. Self with kids says I definitely want to stay in the states. Self without kids would have stayed in Vietnam.

ETA reasons why: Vietnam had amazing food, amazing culture and I am a tropical weather type of girl.
