I technically could have gone but I was nervous and my doc told me it would be uncomfortable to be on the plane for that long, round trip, within a 3 day period. It wasn't a best friend or anything and I did not feel like taking a two month old across the country, and bringing her to a loud, evening wedding or leaving her with a babysitter. We knew well in advance and DH went solo. </p> <p>I did miss one of my little sisters bridal showers, which I was bummed about, but I just couldn't handle the drive and the baby. I went to her other one so it was ok. The farthest we went was to Europe when DS was 2 months! I was a bridesmaid. I had an easy recovery and I didn't think twice about it (except for the money, but we made it work). </p>
