He did something similar to Charlie. He dropped his toy, his eyes got wide, and he just stared back at me. Then he started crying. </p> <p>I have only done it one more time since. Then when I called their technical service for help, I got someone who didn't know what they were doing. Finally Charlie threw a full-fledged tantrum as we were getting ready this morning. He refused to put on his pants, and we were already running late for school.</p> <p>So I raised my voice at Charlie. I was so frustrated that I hissed out, "CHARLIE!!!!"</p> <p>Wow, his reaction was one of pure shock. He froze and looked at me in terror. I guess I haven't raised my voice before. I'm usually pretty patient. It was just a perfect storm of a morning though.</p> <p>I don't feel bad about raising my voice, because it really is a rare thing and I know that I am only human. But I will never forget the look on his face. He was in total shock! It made me determined to never do that again. Or more realistically, to greatly limit the number of time this ever happens.</p> <p>Have you raised your voice to your LO? How did they react? </p>
