The TV in the living room and our bedroom are both hung up so high, she won't be able to reach them. We have the plugs in the wall, so there aren't wires hanging down either.

We just mounted our tv to the wall, and LO is 2. I should have done it a long time ago, but he doesn't try to touch the tv.

Ugh, no. We literally just moved last weekend and this is on my to-do list. We also have a box of furniture anchors to be installed, too before things get too settled in.

LO *just* became mobile this week, and we're moving this week....so not yet.
As we move things into the new house next week we plan on securing all furniture and TVs into the wall

Ours is mounted to the wall, thankfully. Otherwise I would have long ago secured it for my 22 month old. Child is into everything.

We don't - I actually bought a mount quite some time ago, but it has remained unused in our closer since DH doesn't feel like spending the $$ on longer cables and the kit that would allow us to run the power cord through the wall, plus it would make it tricky if we ever wanted to re-arrange our room (I don't ever see that happening, but whatever.) But I got us a pretty awesome TV - it's solid wood and way too heavy for him to tip, too tall for him to reach the TV, and all enclosed with baby-safe drawers that won't slam shut and don't give him easy access to the devices inside. And I spent a lot of time carefully using zip ties to do the wire management so that there isn't a mess of cables he can get at.

I'm more concerned about our floor-standing speakers, they're pretty thin, tall, and heavy. But there isn't really anything I can do to secure them that I can think of, there is absolutely nowhere I can attach straps or velcro or anything without damaging the (very expensive) speakers. But my LO is just a couple of months old, so I still have some time to figure that one out.

I wouldn't really worry about the tube TV though. Those things are so freaking heavy, I think an adult would have trouble knocking it over, let alone a toddler.

Yup but because that's where it fit anyway, it wasn't done specifically for baby proofing-- it's mounted above the fire place where I can barely reach it. However, the shelves flanking the TV and fireplace are ladder style leaning on the wall and we definitely will need to anchor them.

We have an armoire in our room that we cannot anchor because of it's placement relative to the wall, but I really don't think I could pull it over myself and the baby wouldn't be alone in our room, so I think that's OK.

Oh yes, DO THIS. I have seen the consequences. And they have ended in extensive rehab or organ donation more times than I'd care to count. (Not to be dramatic, but it is such a terrible accident waiting to happen and it can happen in a moment.).

We have not secured our TV's yet. M is never in a room with a TV in it without us around right now, though. The only rooms with TV's are the family room and our bedroom. The family room TV is currently out of her reach so I am comfortable with it for now. The TV in our bedroom is an old tube TV that is in our armoir. I do worry about that one so she is never in our bedroom alone.

We have straps, we need to secure our armoir asap.
