We signed T up for ice skating, and he wouldn't even try it. He's 3.5....will try again next week...

we did a music class and could tell he was over it (it was the second session), so we canceled after the first session.

DS1 didn't care for T-ball but he was happy to run around the gym the entire time instead so it wasn't too bad.
DS2 was not a fan of our swimming lessons at one pool because it was so cold. There were some little bath toys that he could play with and throw around so we could manage to get through the lesson but he wouldn't really participate.

DD2 didn't care for gymnastics, but it was free at the Y so I was able to try it a few times before giving up.

Luckily no!!! I was over gymnastics after a while though. Because it's unrealistic to do a "mommy and me" class with 2 babieS! But she is absolutely adoring dance right now.

We've done gymnastics, ballet, and swimming with our girls and they've loved them all! Although the 2-year old was the least into ballet. She only participated in 50% of the activities (but she was always excited to go!).

Yup. dd1 liked swim at a year but HATED it at 2.9 years. She's a pretty proficient swimmer (my mom, aunt and MIL all have pools) so the anxiety of her having to get in the pool with essentially a stranger wasn't worth it. Sigh.

Swimming. Initially she was very excited but our classes were always in the morning and she was cold. And the facility kept changing her teacher week after week so that made it more stressful. She cried and though she made progress, she seemed to be miserable. I didn't renew lessons after the first round this past season but will try again this summer. Funny thing is that when she talks about it now, she makes it seem like it was the best thing ever.

Yes. We did gymnastics when she was two. Disaster. It was a fight to get her out of the house to get there. Then she wouldn't participate once she was there. My husband and I hated it too because it was weekends and we both work full time. It was supposed to be an alternating break for one of us but he didn't ever want to take her alone. So. That was a bust.

We haven't done anything organized since although we've done gymnastics drop in several times and she's loved it.

Swimming but only because the pool was freezing cold :( She was so cold the entire time and refused to go again. Couldn't blame her. We need warmer pools here.

We always do trials first! Most classes I've found offer at least a partial refund through the first 2 weeks. Depending on age and reason they don't like it i would make the decision to keep them in or let them drop it.

Everything is scary at first, but for me swimming is a life skill, so it's non negotiable until they can swim the pool and learn some basic first aid, so we just keep taking them, and eventually they like it, are proud of themselves, and get comfortable.

My oldest LO went to Gymboree classes when she was 7-9 months old, and we both really enjoyed it but then we stopped going. I've wanted to sign the girls up for something like swimming or dance but I'm afraid they won't like it and it would be a waste then. I definitely think swimming would go over better than dance just because they both love the water, and it's a great skill to have.

Have you ever signed your LO up for something, and they ended up not liking it?
