When we had two kids, we went to Cancun - J was only 3 months old at the time so he slept through both plane rides and was really easy to travel with. This year, we want to do something local that doesn't require a plane ride or too much money. We took DS who was 5 months at the time to Vegas and San Francisco! We had an awesome time, and DS was a trooper letting us enjoy our time out and about while he chilled in the Ergo. I just hope he continues to be an awesome traveler as he grows up. Especially when he becomes more mobile. We don't live far from Disney, did Animal Kingdom and stayed at the resort for 4 days about a year ago, but that's not a big vacation for us since it's so close and we go regularly. We've done the beach twice, but it was with family. And we just drove to KY, but it was to stay with friends, so no real "family" vacations yet. The first was a work trip and the second was a vacation to visit the in-laws at their vacation home. We've done lots of weekends away (drivable distances) to see my family and some friends. This summer, we are planning on bringing LO with us on a big work trip overseas. We'll see if that actually happens though. Both of our parents live in resort and destination (sort of) areas. His parents live on the beach, mine live near a small, quaint town and the beach. I'd like to go out camping in the mountains in the Fall this year. Went to the Bahamas and loved it! Stayed in the same time zone, the flight was less than 2 hours and the kids did so well! We went to see Sesame Street Live and met Elmo and she muckled right onto him/her and wouldn’t let go!! Lol It’s about 30 minutes outside of Philly. It looks like they have some great meet-and-greet type activities with the characters so I think LO will really like it. <a href="http://sesameplace.com/en/langhorne/" rel="nofollow">http://sesameplace.com/en/langhorne/</a> We wanted to go to Beaches resort next winter, since they have Sesame Street characters but holy expensive!!!
