Even in the suburbs. We used to have to get someone to watch the monitor to pop out and pick each other up at the train station if one of us had to work late, but now a $6 Uber ride can get that person home. </p> <p>I've had a couple of weird drivers (one kept asking me "which way? where is the hotel?" and I'm like 1) I have no idea, I've never been there and 2) you have a GPS in your car and 3) your Uber app is showing you the way right in front of both of us. It was weird. We only had great experiences. Loved the ease. I also liked that you can track the exact location of your driver on the map. I've had mostly good experiences and I'm thankful for it. I like that I don't have to pay in cash or deal with tips (charges your account). </p> <p>But in peak times they often charge surge pricing which costs way more than a taxi/car service, and sometimes if there is traffic in the city it takes them a long time to come (more than estimated). I wish they had it when I lived in LA so I could go out and not worry about driving!</p> <p>Have you tried it? What has been your experience? </p>
