DH &amp; I met in college so it was pretty easy to meet people in real life at that point. Online dating seems a little contrived and nerve-wracking to me, as I watch many of my friends do it now. However, speed dating always looks so fun in the movies! Match was like a nightmare. I had so many guys basically treating it like an escort service. If they were actually serious about dating, the pictures were never accurate which is false advertising, especially if you gained 100 lbs and lost all your hair since the picture was taken. I'm not even that into looks - I care way more about personality, but I think that's a bad way to start off a relationship with a blatent lie. Its like a huge elephant in the room no pun intended.</p> <p>Eharmony was better, but I only dated one person from that site and when it didn't work out I kind of lost my steam and closed my accounts. Then after Christmas in Jan of 09, I decided to join eHarmony on a whim and met my DH after only 2 weeks of being on there! He had only been on 1 week!
