Using 2 ring slings is usually easiest compared to 2 wraps!

Yes! My back carry got loose while I was messing with the front carry but my toddler was ok for the short while as the carry was secure! I'd never do that with an infant at all- or as a new wearer, simply because you want to extremely familiar with your kid to know that they're not going anywhere! If it were more than 5 minutes in the house Id have taken her down and redid the ruck!!

I did a ruck and a front wrap cross carry- id have done the complete FWCC *first* and then the ruck next time!

This was with my 2 year old nephew and 18 month old tot :)

Pardon my disheveled PJs and super fat arm- it's not easy to photograph this from a decent angle with short arms haha

Never with two babies of the same size. DS1 and DS2 are about 2 years apart and I tandem wore them for a few months. DS2 and DS3 will also be about 2 years apart, I anticipate tandem wearing them. Always bigger kid on my back, smaller on the front.

Put whoever is more likely to want to come down on second so you don't have to mess with the one will want to stay up. It'll be easier once you can have one on your back.

@twodoghouse: Yeah, I don't feel comfortable with back carries yet because they can't sit unassisted. I know I could try a back carry with my mei tai, but just don't feel comfortable with it. I'll just try front carries for now and try back carries in a few months.

No, props to mamas that do but I would just wear one and have DH wear the other, or use our dbl stroller ;). We enjoy babywearing but I don't think I'd necessarily tandem wear.

I could never get the 2nd baby situated! Now I just wear one on my back and carry the other in my arms when we go places.

I tried a tandem carry (both in front hip carries) with my twins last night. I did the Miranda carry with two short woven wraps and a sling ring.

DD was good (so comfy that she fell asleep while I was trying and stuggling with DS). But wow, that babywearing sleepy dust works! I think I need to perfect the hip carry on one baby before trying a tandem carry.
