I was able to arrange a play date at the swimming pool and it was really fun. It was a lot easier once we moved her to the preschool in our neighbourhood -- i usually chat up the parents during pickups/dropoffs or at functions that allow parents to mingle. So glad you got in touch with her mom! Hope it goes well :)</p> <p>We set up a play date with one little girl in DD's class a few months ago and now they're attached at the hip! They started to take ballet together too. Its so reassuring to know that DD doesn't feel lonely at school. The first play date was at an indoor play area but now we have play dates at each other's houses.</p> <p>DS, on the other hand, is in public school and it's SO hard to set up anything with other parents. Most kids take the bus so I don't see their parents at school and there isn't a directory to get a hold of them.
