That's the only time there weren't any available. No complaints! I haven't used it much since having LO in June, but I frequently used it before then. It's usually cheaper and you don't have to tip. I work once a week and use uber to get home. It's so much cheaper than a taxi (it's usually around $7 or $8 when a taxi would be around $12 - $15) Not that I go out anymore, but when I do I love being able to request a car and have it waiting for me when I leave! You can also share your trip with your husband/friend/whoever so they know where you are. We had great experiences with all our drivers, my friend was on crutches and they were more than helpful. The one bad experience was a driver with a lead foot. We drove in a tunnel and I felt like we were shooting a car commercial or music video. It was thrilling and scary all at the same time.</p> <p>Uber drivers seem to be way more personable than regular cab drivers. The cars are clean just like taxis, but seem to be a bit newer than taxis. The cost between a taxi and Uber is no comparison. We uber when we travel to cities (Boston, NYC, Chicago)... I've had amazing experiences in all cities. Clean cars, quick rides, and cheaper than cab rides. Each time I was with at least one other person. The cars have always been clean, the driver has been friendly (some more so than others, but I never got a weird or creepy vibe from anyone), it's always gone really smoothly. I've used it when we would have used a taxi - when we are going somewhere we know we will be drinking. I love how the app shows you how close they are/when they will show up.
