My hair is a few inches past my shoulders, straight &amp; has a few subtle layers. I actually really enjoyed it and my hair grew out fast. It's been a lil over a year and my hair is back to its long length, crazy layers, and I'll be dying it red in a few weeks. It was definitely a big change and I definitely had moments of impatience with the "Growing out" stage. I've always worn it layered, not heavily layered, but enough at my shoulders. </p> <p>For my wedding, I grew my hair out and had an awesome updo. Since my dress was very simple, I wanted my hair to stand out a bit. I had structured curls and waves. The hairstyle was pretty neat. I got a ton of compliments on it. I loved it and was glad I *really* changed it up finally. I've been back to long hair for a while now though because I missed it alot. I'm going to keep it long for as long as I can because I think as I get older I'll be inclined to keep it on the short side. It's quite long, to my waist, and wavy. I haven't dyed it either (it's deep red, dark auburn, whatever you want to call it). I've highlighted it and layered it, but never drastically changed it. </p> <p>Because I have a round face and my hair fits me, I doubt I will change it anytime soon. I get more complements on my hair then anything else, so why mess with a good thing? So I tend to stick with my hair on the long side, always below my shoulders. I've gone pretty short a few times, but as it grows out I remember why I left it long in the first place. Bangs look awful due to above mentioned cowlick.</p> <p>Every once in a while I'm tempted to chop it off again.
