I always kept a lot of the cute art work they made me, but it got the the point where I had to get rid of some of it! I felt so bad and from then on only recycled after school. I did later that day fess up that sometimes we create art for the joy of making it and sometimes we love the final product but that it's ok to recycle the ones we don't love. Thankfully that became part of our clean up from art projects-- keep or recycle. They even caught on that some could be keep for a few days type of thing which made life soooo much easier. But even now, I'd still like to keep some of his scribbles ;) I found an app called Artkive that I think I'll download and use for storing photos, so I can toss the "real thing." "What is this doing in the trash, Daddy? It must've fallen in there!"</p> <p>I agreed with him and we fished it out together. I try really hard to be honest with him, but I think he's not yet ready for the truth that we throw away some (most?) of his art.
