Haven't had a "bathroom break" since this morning. So I think that's a good sign!

However I'm still stuffy. I hate being a mouth breather.

Flu usually feels like a cold plus sore throat plus stomach ache so I don't think you have to worry about that.

Loose stools are common at the end of the third trimester. The cold might just be messing with it and making it more uncomfortable. I would stick to the BRAT diet - bananas, rice, applesauce and toast - and see if that helps. You could try yogurt too.

Feel better! Sleep as much as possible!

 tummy troubles plus a cold really sounds like the worst. Try to take in a lot of fluids - gatorade, pedialite, OJ, whatever you can tolerate.

@psw27: I was wondering that because I've had diarrhea when I've had the flu but I don't have a fever or any body aches. :/

Get well soon! It could be that you have a mild form of the flu too, even if you got the vaccine.

@indi: Sounds like a good idea. I'm thinking that I'm feeling better but I'm not sure if it's just because I found a good medicine I could take while pregnant. Lol

I will call my doc tomorrow if the poos don't stop.

:-( Feel well soon! I think if it continues another day it's worth calling into your nurse line. They may want to test you just in case to make sure it's nothing to treat or that you don't need additional fluids.

You could have a mild virus, too, but I remember this happening a few times in the third trimester and freaking out because I kept reading it was a labor sign. My body adjusted and went back to normal, though.

Also if all that snot is draining into your stomach and you don't feel well enough to eat, it's gross, but the mucous could be doing that to your stools.

@Danizaur: ohh boo. Was hoping it was sooner so you could have peace of mind.

I had diarrhea only the day OF labour with my first.

I had a lot of diarrhea in the third trimester. I think it's your body's way of clearing out for labor...but even though I had it for the entire trimester I still went to 41 weeks. Feel better and stay hydrated! I love a good link:

I've been feeling poor the last few days and I've finally realized I have an actual cold and not just pregnancy stuffy nose. I've not slept very much due to the discomfort but that's the only negative impact on my health I've had so far. I've had diarrhea (sorry gross) but only like once a day and I'm staying hydrated. I assumed it was just my body reacting to the cold. NBD.

After a humidifier, chicken soup, hot showers, and a little medication I'm starting to feel better....but since I went to bed last night at 9pm (5am now) I've had to go to the bathroom 4 times with diarrhea. I'm making an effort to drink even more water and stay hydrated (eating just fine) but I'm starting to get concerned if I may be more sick than I thought. I've never experienced diarrhea this bad with a cold before. Any ideas? I'm not sure if I should be concerned or not.

At the moment I'm feeling pretty good. Peeing often and it's light colored. No tummy troubles. I get a little crampy before I have to go to the bathroom but that's it. Gonna try and get some more sleep since I'm more comfortable and I just had a healthy breakfast for once. Lol. Baby is moving like crazy.
