I wouldn't worry about it. I have issues gaining weight during pregnancy, and from my research, as long as you're not severely sick, you're body will gain what it needs to. Certainly protein drinks and smoothies are good ways to up your calorie intake, though.

I didn;t gain anything until about 24w and then made up for it. I never eat the recommended calorie amount for a pregnant lady. You're supposed to get 300 more calories a day than you normally would...and I barely hit that yet I am gaining weight. Weird...
Your body will know what to do, don't worry:)
But you can always do Boost protein drinks and Ensure drinks. They have like 360 cals in them plus TONS of vitamins so its a win-win. Boost tastes better than Ensure.

Oh, ensure is a great idea! This way you're still getting some vitamins, even if you're really, really struggling to get food in you.

Smoothies are a great way to get extra calories, you can put lots of stuff in there like yogurt, nuts, spinach...

Buy Ensure! It doesn't taste half bad and has gotten me through several periods of my life where I didn't want to eat. (I gained a lot and had no problem eating my normal diet sans chicken while pregnant so I can't guarantee anything. I did like ensure when I was have similar difficulties eating.)

I wouldn't worry about it at all. Your body will gain what it needs to gain, and the baby takes whatever nutrients it needs, regardless of whether your gaining weight.

I don't think you should worry yet! I lost 6 lbs in my first trimester, gained the weight back by the start of my second and gradually gained weight til the end! Gained 32-33 lbs!

Up until 20 weeks I was still down about 4 lbs from my pre pregnancy weight. My doctor wasn't worried about it at all. She said to just eat when I can and make sure that when I do eat it's fruits veggies and lean protein. Now at 28.5 my appetite is back to normal (most of the time) and I'm up 8 pounds.

Try protein shakes! I got a nice light one with no sugar or artificial flavors or sweeteners and I mix it with milk or coconut milk when I feel like I need a little extra during the day. Bonus points if you can stomach blending it with fruits and veggies!

If it makes you feel any better, I didn't gain any weight until about 26 weeks, and I didn't eat much more than animal crackers. Though, I had awful morning sickness that contributed to that. Even once the morning sickness subsided, I just didn't get that hungry.

Today I am officially in my second trimester. Yay! However, I'm starting to worry a little bit about how much food I'm eating.

I haven't gained any weight at all yet, and I'm really just eating one meal a day. I just don't get hungry, and I have to force myself! This isn't normal at all for me, I usually love to eat. But lately, nothing really sounds good.

I looked up how many calories I'm supposed to be eating a day, and I haven't hit that number one single day this week. Eh.

Is this a problem? Will it go away soon, or is it something to worry about?
