My LO is 2 right now and I honestly could not imagine having another infant to take care of. She's such a ball of energy and takes up 150% of my time. I'm sure if it happened, I would find some way to survive, but I'm glad we're going to space them out a bit more :)

It is great in retrospect! At the time it was pretty tough though...

Following this post cause I'm 11.5w with baby #2 (big surprise) and have a little one who just turned 10m. I'm beyond exhausted. Have a ton of guilt about not "enjoying" my first baby...if that makes any sense. I'm also excited but it's been a hard few weeks for me. I'm hoping that the second trimester will give me back some energy and that my crazy emotions settle down.

Mine are 15 months apart(currently 22 months and 7 months), and we love having them this close together! I honestly felt that going from 1-2 was way easier than going from 0-1. Pregnancy was hard, because I had a very active toddler, but you get through it. The moments when DS is jigging and kissing and playing with his sister make it all worth it :)

And I agree with @Running Elley: my son adjusted pretty easily! He has his moment where he doesn't want to share his parents, but he loves his sister so much.

My babies are 13.5 months apart and, so far, we love it (they are currently 3.5 months and 17 months)!!

Pregnancy was the hardest part. Luckily DS still took 3 naps while I was in my first tri so I would just nap whenever he napped. It was really difficult towards the end because I was so big and miserable and didn't want to do anything. It was really hard for me to not be able to just get on the floor to play with DS. I had a looooot of guilt.

Since DD has been born it hasn't been too bad! The adjustment period was easier for DS because he was still so young IMO. He absolutely loves his little sister now- she's his favorite person!

It was hard but I think it has worked for us. Pregnancy is hard when you have a little person there to entertain and care for, and breastfeeding is hard too for that reason. The first 6 months are pretty rough. But now that our little one is closing in on 1.5 and our older one is 3, I love to see them interact and play together and I hope they will be great friends as they get older!

I'm still pregnant, but I will say this, not feeling well during the first trimester and being super tired, while trying to take care of a toddler was awful. I do however get super sick during pregnancy, so that certainly might not happen to everyone. I was also still breastfeeding, and have a 6yr old school activity schedule to contend with.

No, I'm not pregnant... ;-)

BUT we are seriously discussing LO#2.... And we are leaning towards having them quite close together if the TTC gods allowed it...

People keep saying all these negative things about it....what's your experience? Good? Bad? Would you recommend it?
