So, I paid 10% for my delivery and 10% for ally blood draws and ultrasounds. My insurance told me prenatal visits are free due to obamacare. I do still pay for blood work (initial tests were like $100ish) and ultrasounds ($350ish for anatomy scan and $150ish for a follow-up ultrasound to check an issue they found). But we have been paying for all ultrasounds and blood work. For some reason the insurance has not covered all ultrasounds the same. That I do not understand. My year starts in Sept or Oct (can't remember!) so we have almost met the deductible. But with my first I was also on a HDHP and never paid more than a office Co pay and maybe around $40 for u/s? </p> <p>This time around my office visit was $120 and insurance only covered $3.43?!?! Wth? </p> <p>My NT scan is costing me $90 out of pocket. </p> <p>I'm just wondering what everyone else's experience is like right now with a HDHP during their pregnancy . </p> <p>I Def plan to clear all this with my insurance rep to make sure I'm getting billed properly. </p>
