i always just sidewind their clothes up under one armpit so their out of the way. my daughter actually did this to me waaaay more as a tiny baby than my son, go figure. but now that their older, she almost never does and he does it all the time! for both, it seems to be much more common when they're sleepy or just waking up. so i usually wait a bit after waking to change them, or just have an extra stack of clothes ready if it happens in the middle of the night.

Make him pee before you take off the dirty diaper. We would open the diaper, then either blow on his pee-pee or dangle a cold wet wipe around it so it would touch it. As soon as the stream started we'd hold the diaper closed over it, then voila, time to change!

Before I take his diaper completely off I wait a minute and let some air hit him down there. It usually triggers a pee and I can catch it the diaper.

LO does this too. I just make sure her clothes are out of the way, out a flannel receiving blanket or prefold under her and change quickly.

I put a wipe underneath him (on top of the changing pad) when I change him. I can't stop him from peeing, and he still pees on himself, but the bulk of it gets absorbed by the wipe.

Seriously, I feel like every single time I change LO's diaper, he pees all over himself! I put a cloth wipe over him, but it just end up running beneath him and getting all over the changing pad..and then he's laying in it! Any tips from the veterans out there?
