<description>&#60;p&#62;You can talk to the ultrasound provider and see if they would be willing to look into your insurance and see if they could join your network.  You can also talk to them and see if you can get a reduced rate for not going through insurance.  Some places will bill you less if you pay cash and don't go through insurance.

&#60;p&#62;My ultrasound was not in-network. I didn't look it up beforehand, because there is only one place in town that does them. It looks like the nearest in-network provider is 3 hours away. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Is there anything I can do about that? It's a new insurance company so I think they just don't have very many contracts with providers established. But the ultrasound was almost $600 and I'd prefer not having to pay cash for the whole thing....
