@MamaMoose: Men, so frustrating! lol He will be on board for me to eat as healthy as I want to. I have my work cut out for me to try to get him to eat healthier. He always says he just doesn't care, but I DO! I will just have to figure something out...!

@Coco Bee: Good for you!!! You are EXACTLY where I want to be :) I know you can get to that point where you don't want it or even like it anymore and that's my goal is to be there :) It just takes time and dedication, like you said, it's been six months for you and it's totally worth the wait. Where do you find most of your recipes? I need to start baking more and plus it's healthier than store bought cookies!

@aMohror: sweets have been the hardest thing for me too, but is so gets easier.

I cut out ALL items with high fructose corn syrup and even corn syrup. Then I started cutting out nearly all sugar, and replacing it with honey. I found so many great recipes for cookies and bread made with honey instead which is a natural, better for you sweetener. Now, about 6 months after I initiated this change, I HATE sugary foods. I can't stand normal candy or cake. I only eat dark chocolate and find it incredibly satisfying - even just one piece. I only bake with sucanat or honey now. It's been so rewarding and I feel great!

@aMohror: Uh I know the feeling. My husband can eat whatever he wants and never gain weight!! But if I ask him to help me keep everything in the house healthier he is totally on board. Especially now that there is a baby on the way. I would sit down with him and have a conversation about how you really need his support on this. And honestly, even if he doesn't gain weight, that doesn't mean he shouldn't try to eat healthier anyway. Bad stuff can still do damage to your body even if it doesn't show up as numbers on the scale.

Not to make excuses either...BUT lol I think something really hard for me is I want to make it a lifestyle change before baby so I don't have to worry about my baby eating bad foods or seeing me eat bad foods when she can't have them.....The problem is my husband won't get on board and is not for the change. He wants to eat whatever he wants (he doesn't gain weight) and just tell me not to eat what he eats. It makes it much more difficult to have crap in the house and him still eating it!

@eeh: It's definitely been a struggle for me and sweets! I'm not really making any rules for myself so I'm less likely to fail, so less beating myself up :) I think I just want to see how it goes in the beginning and go from there. Good advice!

Good luck! I definitely need to do a better job regarding my eating. I've tried to walk at least a little bit each night. I've also tried to make better choices but I certainly have a long way to go. I have a horrible sweet tooth so I've tried to limit myself to 1 or 2 sweet things per day.

My only advice would be to not beat yourself up if you make a poor choice. Remember each meal is a fresh start. If you have a donut for breakfast then start fresh at lunch and pack it with extra veggies.

I'm currently 33 weeks so I still have some time to turn my eating habits around! I'm sick and tired of eating like garbage when I know I am FULLY capable of eating very well :) I got laid off of my job right after Memorial weekend so I have been at home since then and definitely have the time to prepare healthy meals. Instead, I have been eating junk and all the left over candy from my baby shower buffet! I finally sent the rest of it with my husband to take to work! I also thought it would be a good idea to start eating better now, that way after the baby comes it won't be some drastic change. I need to start walking or doing my pregnancy workout everyday too, what has happened to me! I'm such a lazy pants!

I'd appreciate any advice or motivation ladies!!!
Thank you in advance! :)

****Oh, I thought I should add I'm not dieting or trying to lose weight ;)
