But they also started to make my stomach turn because I had been taking them so often. (DH did offer to drive into the city to drop the meds off, but I told him not to worry.) DH got me Tums so I was able to take it when I got home from work. They gave me some relief. It felt so good. </p> <p>Today, I'm fine. I was able to sleep last night and now no sign of it. I really don't want to take any pills, if I don't have to. (The thought of taking pills actually makes me gag.)</p> <p>So I'm going to make sure I have Tums in my purse if it starts to flare up again.</p> <p>I have no idea what I ate to make it so unbearable yesterday. I don't like taking drugs, but my heartburn was really unpleasant &amp; I also woke up at night with it. One baby was really high under my ribs and he was giving me unbearable heartburn. I lived on Tums for a long time, before finally complaining to my dr. She put me on a daily pIll, but I can't remember now what it was!
