The best time! Mine did that and it was one of my favorite times. He now gives me raspberries (on purpose). He also constantly plays with the other side. Ugh I hate that but it calms him.

My baby blows raspberries while she's eating then laughs hysterically. It's so irritating and cute at the same time.

Yes and I love it! But you're right it makes for a long session then I feel bad that I'm "ignoring" her during one on one time. Vicious cycle.

@mrsjazz: YES me too! If I start talking, she looks at me like, why are you disturbing me??

@Sammyfab: we haven't gotten there yet. She doesn't "see" dh the same way she does me yet. He doesn't get the same smiles or anything ....yet!

@Thehistoryofus: she's 14, going on 15 weeks. She is starting to communicate with us and it's just so wonderful!!

@Mrsbells: Aw, I love that she gets the serious face on when she's hungry! Her nails are always sharp whether I have just cut them or not, too. :/

@sammyfab: My LO does the same thing when he looks at my DH and then it feels like I'm breaking his neck when I try to get him to turn his head back. Unless, of course, when I give up and cover up again does he turn back and try to burrow his face through my clothing while looking at me reproachfully like "hey, I wasn't done!"

my LO does the same thing when Dh walks in or if the tv comes on or my phone rings. She is just too easily distracted

@mediagirl: I also can't talk to anyone while I breastfeed. She pulls off and stares at me and then at the person I'm talking to (usually DH or our nanny) so it's quiet time during feedings.

My LO does this too and it's so sweet!! If I make any eye contact with him at all his whole face lights up.

When my DH walks into the room then my LO will unlatch and turn his head so he can smile at his dad. That gets super frustrating because it takes a lot of effort to get him to turn around and re-latch.

@mediagirl: Yes. It is the cutest thing ever. She usually does this towards the end of a feed, though.

@Mrsbells: The pinching/scratching thing is horrible! I get so red from her doing that.

I nurse M when I'm home so on weekdays it's one time in the evening before bed and one time in the morning before I leave. Also whenever she's hungry overnight.

When she's wide awake, she has started this thing where she will be eating, then she'll make eye contact with me. As soon as she makes eye contact she will open her mouth really wide (with my boob still in her mouth) to smile and gurgle at me. OMG it is the CUTEST THING EVER. It just makes my heart swell every single time she does it. I'm not sure if she does it when she's eating from the bottle.

But.... now it takes like an hour to feed her when she's awake because she keeps doing it! I have to try to look away from her while she is eating so we can get the job done in time for me to leave for work. :)

Has your lo gone through this? Isn't it just the most awesome thing ever/completely frustrating? :)
