heat the food in the morning very warm, and take it to daycare in a thermos so it's still warm when she eats it. that's how i pack soups, and how i carried around warm milk for charlie.

I would say defrost it overnight in the fridge, then have them heat it in hot water like they do a bottle.

the crock pot idea is good too.

@regberadaisy: Yeah thats a good idea, they heat up her bottle by placing it in warm water. I'm just wondering if that might take too long with a thicker puree, even if it is defrosted. Hopefully someone else has some experience with this

hm. Good question. Is that how they heat up purees at her daycare?
How about defrosting at home and putting them into mini glass jars for daycare then they can heat up the same way they heat up her bottle?

My baby will start solids in few months, I'm wondering whats the best way to heat up her purees without using a microwave so i can advise her daycare. I dont want her food going in the microwave. Will it take forever if they place it in hot water they way they do with her milk? Or I should I take in a mini crockpot?
