Prior to having kids, I never knew that you can love another kid just like your own but you really can. The love is real and just grows stronger each day. When they left to reunite with their dad, they took a piece of my heart with them but it was for the best. He needed time with them while they were still young and forgiving to make up for lost times. Their mom sadly left without a trace and never looked back. I am the only "mommy" they will ever know which is fine by me. I use to get sweet little notes around the home all the time! I miss that so much. Here's an example of one!
