My sister had HELLP along with severe pre-eclampsia. Her experience was she had blood pressure issues and then the other stuff started to occur. My understanding is that HELLP is more commonly associated with people with gestational hypertension and/or pre-eclampsia. Did you see your OB on Monday? I would assume they tested your urine for protein. With a normal blood pressure and no protein in your urine, I wouldn't jump to HELLP immediately, especially since your low platelets were present in your previous pregnancy and were not connected with HELLP.

With all that said, blood pressure / pre-eclampsia can happen FAST. I would check your blood pressure and go from there.

Any vision changes with the headache?

I had HELLP with my first. I had an appt on a Tuesday with normal BP, no protein in my urine. The next day I started having a stomach ache that reached over the top half of my abdomen and it pretty much was getting worse all week. I had a really low appetite and walking or doing anything felt terrible. Friday night I went into labor, Saturday when we in to l and d, I had protein in my urine, high blood pressure, and my platelets were 48. Liver enzymes were also high. I didn’t really have a headache but perhaps had some Vision changes in hindsight.

Anyone have HELLP before?

I'm 35 weeks tomorrow. I have low platelets (114,000) (to be expected kind of, had them last pregnancy), but also now a 3-day-long low-to-moderate headache despite some Tylenol and tons of water, nausea, loss of appetite, shakiness and fatigue.

My blood pressure was fine on Monday and today, even on the low side. No temperature, so most likely not sick. No swelling or vision changes.

I called the nurse line at the OB but just wondering what your experience what like...

ETA: Monday I was at the OB for standard appt, so BP & urine were fine then. Today (Thurs) I had my school nurse check my BP.
