Our LO had one for about 5 months - it was a pain but it really helped. For the first 3 months we were really diligent after the adjustment period and he wore it 23 hours a day, took it off for baths only.<br /> After three months we were going on vacation and moving so he wore it but not as much. Our sitter never left it on during the day so that was hard. There is wiggle room. My baby was born with a pointy head and originally the thought her sutures were born fused but now the whole right side of her skull has pushed forward. Preemies don't have the muscle control to hold their head up pointed at the ceiling. So, he turns to one side unless he's positioned with bean bags. So, his head is flat on each side, but worse on his right side and elongated. Best thing we ever did. Positional therapy didn't fix the problem. I didn't follow the time worn guidelines and I wish I would have. His head looks amazing but I still notice the flat spot.
