The first night, she fell asleep sitting up after 20 min, and we caved 2.5 hours later and went in to lay her down. She fell back asleep right away. She slept for 7 hours straight though! Since then, she's been falling asleep on her own (without getting up) fairly quickly, and sleeping for about 5 hours, and will wake up and sit up once a night. We let her cry until she falls asleep sitting, and then go lay her down. You can slowly lower her straight back onto her back, or kinda roll her onto her side. As a PT, I worked with a kiddo that would do the same thing. She had to figure it our herself. We just started the sleep training process, and I believe the problem she has is that as soon as she wakes up, she rolls over and sits up and doesn't know how to lay back down! Does anyone have any tips for how to get her to lay down? We let her CIO and she fell asleep sitting up and just keeps bobbing her head and I feel horrible! </p> <p>Any help is much much appreciated! </p>
