@mrs. wagon: @Crumbs: DD was like this during week 5 and right now week 8., I read that it's a wonder week where there's alOt of mental development which causes the fussiness and lack of sleep. There's tons of info if you google "the wonder weeks". I had to start swaddling DD again because she was being so fussy ad wouldn't sleep.

@mrs. wagon: I wish I can help, but I've been like a zombie all day. LO's sleep cycled over - her nights are days again. It's like how she was as a newborn. Nothing works for me unless I hold her, then IF I'm lucky, I can get away by putting her down (even if it's just beside me). Last night she didn't let me out her down at all and when I do, she fusses and cries. I really want to avoid getting her worked up so I end up just holding her. She finally slept a long stretch this morning, from 6 am to 12:30. She's been sweet and sleepy all day and now now it's night time and completely awake. DH's going to bed soon so I'll likely be up all night again.

@mrs. wagon: I started at week 8 with her in the same room with me, usually in the PNP or on the floor.. After a week or so I felt comfortable letting her nap on her tummy in her crib.

@banana: yep lil miss wagon didn't like the swing anymore either. bah. We ended up sticking it out until it was time for her to eat again, then I just fed her and put her down. The thing is, when she started fussing was RIGHT after she had eaten last, so I really don't think it was that she was hungry. Luckily she slept for a good 3 hours, then during the next feeding she FILLED two diapers with a TON of poop. So I think she was having tummy issues. Do you keep the swing on all night? or do you turn it off at some point? I was thinking about keeping her in there all night (but she screamed while in there as well) but I was afraid her face would get too cold.

@c.sassy: when did you let her nap on her tummy? I think it will help too... I'm thinking of letting her nap on her tummy today, closely supervised of course.

My LO did this during the day for the few weeks around her 6 week growth spurt. She never really liked the swing or bouncer and would only sleep in my arms, so we didn't leave the house much :) Once I started letting her nap on her tummy things got a LOT better.

@mrs.wagon: We brought our swing upstairs too! But now all of a sudden she decides she doesnt like it anymore. argggggg! It's 3am right now and she 's sleeping on my bed. My arms are sore from holding her all day. The 5 S's helped a few times in getting her to sleep. What i did was swaddle her and swing her from side to side until she fell asleep and then place on her swing really quickly. she thought i was still thr one swinging her. score!

what did u end up doing?

She threw up for the first time - all over the bed! I had to call reinforcement (wake hubs). I just got done bathing her and now feeding her again. If she fussy after, I'll try the bouncer. I've moved it into a dark corner, so hopefully it'll work as a last resort.

We have a bouncer aka her "poopy chair". She'll sit in it for awhile but has never slept in it. She gets fussy if she's in it too long. Argh she's hungry again. She's eating all night!

Yikes! So sorry, I remember those days. Does she only fuss when you put her down?

Have you tried bouncer or swing? It never worked for us but maybe for your LO?

My LO's 7 weeks old and lately she will not let me put her down. She's actually sweet, she smiles and coos at me but as soon as I put her down, then it's fuss city! DH just returned to work this week so it's pretty much just me and her all day. I'm grateful she's not crying, but that's only because I haven't put her down!

She's not normally like this. She normally sleeps during the day (naps for 3 hrs) on top of her longer night sleeps. But today she's just cat napping/waking up whenever I put her down. Then the ritual of getting her back to sleep continues.

One thing that works is putting her in a sitting position (like I'm burping her) and she falls asleep that way, but even if I wait 30 mins before putting her down, she wakes up. I don't know what to do. She's 10.5 lbs and I'm aching! It's 1 am and she's fussing beside me. She's literally been eating and peeing ALL day, but not sleeping. Help!
